Have you experienced changes ‘down there’? ThermiVa is just one of our a safe, minimally-invasive treatments that can restore your confidence and improve your quality of life as part of our GynaeLase program.
What does it do?
Before starting any treatment you will have a comprehensive consultation to determine whether you’re eligible for the program.
Each treatment usually takes around 30 minutes during which time there is a controlled temperature increase in the connective tissue of the vagina.
Most people report that it’s relatively painless – less uncomfortable than a pap smear.
How does it work?
The controlled heating causes collagen fibres to contract and tighten in the vagina, which improves elasticity. It also encourages the production of new, healthy tissue that thickens and strengthens the vaginal wall. This process gives you more strength and tightness to reduce leakages.
It also improves moisture, normalises PH levels, restores the healthy lining of the vagina and balances healthy bacteria levels targeting symptoms like dryness and burning making intercourse more comfortable.
When will I notice results?
Many people feel a difference after the very first treatment due to the thermal affect on the vaginal tissue, however the real benefits take longer to occur.
Scientific results from clinical studies indicate excellent improvements in mild and moderate stress urinary incontinence, vulvovaginal atrophy & tightening of the vaginal canal for increased sexual gratification. Individual results will vary.
A maintenance treatment is generally recommended 1-2 times a year.
